Submitting to Blog Carnivals is one of the easiest traffic building tasks around. In four simple steps you only can have new visitors coming to your blog, and building back links at the same time. Best of all… it is free and only takes a few minutes to do each week.
Follow these 4 easy steps below and reap the benefits:
Step #1: Find a Blog Carnival on your topic - On the homepage you will see a link called find a carnival. Click on the link, and on the next page you will see a drop down menu. Select the topic best matching your blog, and start looking for one you like.
Step #2: Read the rules - This is important because it will greatly increase your chances of getting your post published. Nearly every Carnival will have submission rules. Most of the time they will have what type of posts they are looking for, and how many you can publish per issue.
Step #3: Pick out your best posts - Take a look at your posts over the past week or two. Most Carnival owners don’t like posts that are more than a few weeks old. It’s best to use your more recent posts. Select the best of the bunch, and use them.
Step #4: Submit to the Blog Carnival - In the submission form add things like the post tile, direct URL and your Blog title. If you want to raise the chances of getting published include a short easy to read description. Make it as easy as possible for the carnival owner to include your post.
Bonus: Make this a regular part of your weekly activities – Over time you will have many links pointing back to individual posts in your blog. This type of linking is called deep links. Which is something the search engines really favor, and like to see.
