I’m always asked, “Tyler, I just finished my website and now I need traffic”. This is a very common question and is very simple to answer.

Getting free traffic is how most webmasters start off because its free. But getting free traffic is something that most will make very complicated and its not. How most people fail in achieving a high success with traffic is they quit after just a few days.

Im going to show you 5 great ways to generate a ton of traffic to your website for free. But I want to stress something here. These 5 traffic generators should be done every day. Take 30 min out of your day and work these strategies.

1. Start off by writing a great article about your product or service. Give good details and educate your visitors on how your product will help them. Once you educate someone about your product then your allowed to talk about your website. Talking about your website is placing a link at the bottom of the article. Once your article is written then post it to article directories like EzineArticles.com, goarticles.com. Both of these directories get huge amounts of traffic and very targeted to your specific niche.

2 Unless you have been stuck in a closet for the past 3 years you may have noticed 2 websites that just blow up on the internet. Twitter and Facebook, are 2 websites that have massive communities that are available to educate and gain traffic from. Join both of these sites and start talking about a your service. Post the article that you wrote and place your link at the bottom.

3. Search on Google for your niche and forum. Something like this “Guitar Lovers Forum”. This will give you websites that have a forum that you can join. Once you join these forums you will be able to talk with people of similar interest. Take small pieces from your article and post it on the forum. How you get traffic is to place your link in the signature of your posts. Once you post some information your link will be at the bottom of that post. Always make sure your posts are informative.

4. Go on Google and search for other websites that are similar to yours. Find the contact form of the webmaster and send off an email. Let the owner of that website know you have a fresh new article and ask if you can post it. Make sure you can also add a link back to your site. All website owners will allow you to post your article because they want fresh content. Fresh content on websites is golden for all website owners. With your link back this will give you some instant traffic and it will give you a nice backlink for the search engines to pickup.

5. The last simple way to get more traffic is to write a press release. Writing a press release may not be the most exciting but it works. Once complete you will want submit your new information to as many press release directories you can find. Always add your link for instant traffic and backlinks.
