Legitimate Online Money Makers – Do They Exist?

I have scoured the Internet Earth for years looking for a money-making program that is, number one, legitimate, and two, actually works. While I’ve had some success over the years, it’s happened very seldom. I don’t know that a long term way to make money online in a serious and prosperous way exists. Maybe I’m just a doom-and-gloomer. There are so many programs out there, and tons more everyday. It’s full-on bombardment. They’re basically all huge rip-offs, but that is just my opinion. The only thing that can possibly make any sense appears to be the good old-fashioned, tried and true: sell something that somebody else wants to buy. Of course, affiliate programs for legitimate businesses can be profitable, but there’s no way around it: you must advertise. So, if I’ve offended anyone, I truly apologize. Maybe I’ve been looking in the wrong places all these years.

We all want something for nothing. We all want that big elusive lottery victory. But, down deep, each one of us knows that’s never going to happen. Getting struck by lightning? A much better chance.

Anyone like me who’s been involved with trying so many different programs and trying to recruit your “warm” market by nagging your friends and family, knows that your credibility with these indulgent folks has long been shredded to smithereens. Who’s going to believe you now? Nobody in my warm circle of contacts, that’s for sure. Most folks I know just have a different mindset. They know you’re a fool for continuing to try these long-to-no-shot losers. But, we just can’t seem to resist, can we?! I try to turn the tables in my mind: How would I feel if they were continuously contacting me about these things? Would I like that? Probably not, because I, too, know that there’s not a snowball’s chance in a microwave that it’ll work. If it was so darn easy, and such a cinch to make huge money every month, everybody and their brother would be doing it. Even our local, state and national governments might give it a thorough looking over. Alas, the only people who get involved with very questionable things like most money-making programs are, are a small circle of online marketers, dreamers, and people like me who crave hope at any cost.

There’s a sucker born every minute, and I seem to be that sucker on a regular basis. Why is that? Well, I think it comes down to the old American Dream thing. We all want our share of the wealth. But, the system is so tainted, that it’s highly, very highly, unlikely. When you see these Internet giants who got there first, and all the massive profits they’re raking in, you just feel entitled to your chance at the Web rainbow’s pot of gold. But, it’s a false entitlement. You and I are entitled to nothing. We have to go out and get it, at a gigantic seemingly insurmountable disadvantage.

Now, I feel like I’m whining. And, I admit to being guilty as charged. But again, when you see these Wall Street ya-hoos making out like the true bandits they are, it just gets me to pining away for being able to have my day in the sun. I think I need a perspective-changing infusion of reality. My paradigm needs shifting. Maybe I better just be grateful for what I already have rather than what I wished I had. Can you relate?
